If you skipped the introduction, I'd recommend a quick read through it. "This is not a book about teaching a child how to read it's about teaching a child to want to read." ![]() A quote in the introduction contains the author's summary of this book. The introduction and first chapter dove-tail nicely in thinking about reasons and values of reading aloud to children. Wait, what about the introduction?
